The Museum is  the centre of Jewish heritage, culture, and history in the heart of Uptown Saint John, New Brunswick. We tell the story of the Jewish community of Saint John from its beginnings in 1783 to the present day. Follow the waves of immigration to Saint John and explore Jewish traditions and customs. A series of changing exhibits recall the richness of family, business and organizational life that flourished from the 1920s to the 1960s.

Museum tours led by members of the Jewish community give visitors a unique first-person view of local history and cultural experience.

Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Sunday (July and August and cruise ship days), 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

The Saint John Jewish Historical Museum is located on the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Wəlastəkewiyik / Maliseet people whose ancestors along with the Mi’Kmaq / Mi’kmaw and Passamaquoddy / Peskotomuhkati Tribes / Nations signed Peace and Friendship Treaties with the British Crown in the 1700s that protected their rights to lands and resources.
